SART volunteers carry a beeper, nights or weekends; they receive pages from hospital personnel, and contact survivors who are being treated at a hospital. They provide information on sexual assault, the legal system, support, and safety planning. SART Volunteers are a critical support to survivors who have just been assaulted and serve as a much-needed link between survivors and the services available to them at SafeHouse Center. Volunteers take 3 hour shifts per month (M-F 5pm-8am,Sat/Sun 8am-8am) We ask volunteers to commit to at least 6 months of volunteer work at SafeHouse Center.

An interview is required prior to training, and all SART Volunteers must attend the 40 hour training.

From Ypsilanti: Same as Ann Arbor, but at the intersection of Washtenaw and Carpenter, turn right onto Hogback.   Nearest Bus Stop: AATA #7, 2 minute walk
