Volunteer Opportunity - Southwest Detroit Senior Support

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on May 1, 2013

Volunteers will help our seniors with a myriad of tasks including painting, cleaning, lawn maintenance and small home repair projects. Each of these tasks is essential to our organization's mission to keep seniors in their homes and communities of choice. Projects can be arranged any day of the week based on our volunteer's availability and our elders' needs. Projects could include interior or exterior painting, yard work and landscaping, light housekeeping, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical repair. Many of our elders would delight in volunteers providing social support through friendly visiting for an hour or two. Volunteers and projects are matched based on skill level required. Projects may have a 2 - 6 hour duration.

There are no limitations although skilled labor is very welcome.
