Be the smiling face that clients, donors and agency partners see when they first enter Housing Hope’s offices. Duties include reception, data entry, filing, mailing and other special projects. Volunteers are needed Tuesdays, Thursday or Fridays on an ongoing basis for all or part of the day. We can set the schedule to fit your needs.
Housing Hope will give you any necessary training. We prefer a commitment of at least six months of consistent service.


  1. Answer the telephones with 8 lines.
  2. Use a professional manner with callers and staff.
  3. Give information to the public.
  4. Transfer calls to staff.
  5. Take effective messages.
  6. Transfer callers to voice mail.
  7. Greet and assist visitors as they arrive.
  8. Use a professional manner with visitors.
  9. Give information to the public.
  10. Call staff to meet their appointments.
  11. Learn about Housing Hope programs and policies so you can
answer questions from public.
  1. Learn to use office equipment
  2. Fax machine.
  3. Postage machine.
  4. Copy machine.
  5. Provide clerical support to other staff
  6. Be able to understand directions correctly
  7. Finish the project in a timely manner while answering the phones
    • 21 years old and older
    • Prior reception experience preferred. Training will be provided.
    • Willing to commit to a minimum of six months of service
    • Must complete a Housing Hope volunteer application
    • Must have a professional manner, be reliable, flexible and able
    to multi-task
    • Able to follow both written and oral instructions
    • Able to work with and without direct supervision.

     From the north: Exit I-5 at 41st Street, head west to Rucker/Evergreen Way, turn left (south) and proceed past 58th Street. Enter into the first driveway after Baskin & Robbins to arrive at the Housing Hope Administrative Offices. From the south: At exit 189, and take ramp onto SR526 towards WA526/Mukilteo/Whidbey Is. Ferry. Head right onto ramp and turn right (north) onto Evergreen Way. Proceed past the traffic light at Peck’s Drive. The Housing Hope Administrative Offices are two blocks North on the west side of Evergreen Way.
      Nearest Bus Stop: Route 8 via Everett Transit (drops off in front of Housing Hope Administrative Offices)
