Mission: Josephine Sunset Home is a Christian community welcoming people of all faiths. We offer care for the whole person - body, mind, and spirit.

Through innovative residential and non-residential health and long term care services, comprehensive child services, and our special focus on integrated programs, we strive to be a resource to the individuals and communities we serve.

Description:
At Josephine, we emphasize comprehensive care by providing an array of services and programs that meet the unique needs of individuals. We strive to make Josephine as "home-like" as possible. Caregivers and volunteers take on the responsibility of promotion and enhancing the dignity of Josephine residents by respecting their privacy, religious beliefs, and individual differences. By fulfilling these responsibilities, we can enhance the quality of life for the people we serve.

History:
In 1908, John Hals, dedicated a two story building and ten acres of land, in memory of his wife Josephine, to serve as a home for the aged. Today, Josephine Sunset Home is an affiliated home of the evangelical Lutheran Church in America and owned by a group of 22 Lutheran churches.

Throughout the years, our campus and programs have grown to meet changing needs of our community. Through Josephine Suites, our new 55 unit facility, we provide assisted living services. Over 100 children are cared for through Josephine's Child Care and Preschool. Josephine's Adult Day Services program provides a needed service to home-bound frail seniors and their home givers.
