"A community is like a ship; everyone ought to be prepared to take the helm." ~Henrik Ibsen

Are you ready to assume responsibility for governing a not-for-profit organization, or do you have the desire to serve your community on a government committee or task force? This site is designed for community members to express interest in serving and building our community by active participation and governance in the not-for-profit, public sector.

As you apply for a leadership positionĀ in a not-for-profit or public sector organization or committee, please take the time to provide information about the strengths you can bring to that organization. Your application will be sent electronically to the appropriate contact within the specific agency you have selected. The contact person will respond to your inquiry, and you will both continue with the interview and selection process of that organization.

This service is a means of connecting talented, capable volunteers with high-level, volunteer leadership positions in the community. Neither you nor the specific agency is under any obligation to continue through the interview and selection process.

United Way of Porter County is delighted to offer this service to the community.
