The Valparaiso Club has 3 sports leagues, Fall Basketball, Winter Soccer and Spring Basketball. The leagues vary from 7 to 9 weeks. The typical age groupings for our leagues are 5-7, 8/9, 10/11 and 12-13. Being a volunteer coach is a great way to help teach kids sportsmanship, teamwork and the skills to improve at that specific sport.

Coaching does require a consistent commitment of 2 hours per week for each team coached. One hour a week is for practices and one hour is for games.

Our sports leagues are instructional leagues with no regard to winning, losing or any other aspect of competition that does not fully emphasize the enjoyment of the sport for the kids.

Background checks are done for all volunteers.
