To provide families with children in the hospital due to serious illness or injury with a caring place to call home.
Description:
Located on the campus of St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach we have 10 family suites, a full kitchen, playroom, serenity garden, living area and business center. Families with children in the hospital are provided a home-like atmosphere. Families stay with us at a minimal cost but no one is turned away due to inability to pay. With a full kitchen families don't have to worry about meals; many volunteer groups provide dinners for our families throughout the week. Our main goal is to provide for the families a place to stay and meals so that they can concentrate on their child during this traumatic time in their lives.
History:
Opened in July of 2001, Quantum House is completing it's fourth year of operation. During this time Quantum House has served over 3,000 family members. Volunteers help with the everyday running of the house by cleaning, answering phones, office work, cooking, gardening and spending time talking with our families.
