Description:
MVRBC is community-based and wholly dependent on blood collections from volunteer donors. MVRBC currently services 53 hospitals throughout the region in 45 counties with blood and blood products. Our volunteer support equals that of our staff support; we have approximately 350 volunteers and 350 employees. Our volunteer program is entering it's 18th year and hosts a variety of volunteer positions and scheduling opportunities.
History:
Formed in 1974, Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) is an independent, not-for-profit organization that plays an integral role in the community’s health. MVRBC has reliably served the regional and national community for over 30 years, collecting more than 120,000 units annually in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Missouri.
