| Last updated on April 18, 2012 |
Our Mission is in partnership with family and community we commit to provide programs, services, and facilities to enable and inspire our youth to realize their full potential. Our vision is healthy children who complete school on time, make positive life choices, and live in supportive families.
Description:
We operate four facilities serving school-age children in after school and summer developmental programs. The Boys and Girls Club actively seeks to enrich the lives of kids that other youth agencies fail to reach and we are dedicated to ensuring that our community’s youth have greater access to life-enhancing, quality programs and services that will shape their future. After School and Summer activities are at the core of our youth development programs. Programs are structured to maximize youth's experience in Art, Physical Recreation, Social Recreation, Technology, Health Education, Support for In-School Learning and Life Skills Development. Leadership clubs off service learning opportunities, expose kids to career choices, and encourage continued education. Structured leagues in basketball, football, volleyball, and cheer are offered through the Athletics program.
History:
The first Boys & Girls Club of Benton County opened its doors on September 21, 1993, thanks to the support from the United Way of Benton County and the dedication of our founder, Keith Penn. The Boys and Girls Club of Benton County has grown from a small building serving a fer children to four stand alone facilities serving thousands of children. The club is chartered by the Boys & Girls Club of America, the largest and fastest growing youth organization in the world.
