Volunteer Opportunity - Tween Program Assistant

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Teens wanted as Tween Program Assistants at the Wausau Library!!!! Not sure what a "Tween" is? Tweens are kids between the ages of 9 and 12. MCPL is looking for motivated Teens to help with younger children's programs, specifically programs for children in grades 3-5. Program activities range from crafts, writer's workshops, game nights, snack making, story-telling and more. These volunteers will be assigned a task to help with during the Tween program and will guide, instruct, and have fun with the younger children. Tween programs are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm. Volunteers are asked to arrive at 6:00pm and depart at 8:15pm to help with set-up and take-down. If you like kids and books, be sure to apply!

Volunteer must be comfortable working closely with children in grades 3-5. Teens in grades 6-12 are specifically encouraged to apply.
