Sandcastles, a Lake Michigan Children's Museum, creates an environment that encourages and inspires children and families to explore their world by offering hands-on discovery while stimulating creativity, curiosity, and the love of learning.
Description:
There are many ways to volunteer for Sandcastles. You may like to be a museum volunteer, help with publicity, help with fundraisers, build exhibits, deliver brochures, etc. Museum volunteers are so important to Sandcastles. They help keep the museum exhibits clean and tidy, interact with children and families, and help staff with other small tasks. Some volunteer every week and others every other week. There is a 2 hour training session. Hours: Sandcastles is open this fall through December 29, only on Fridays (9:30-1:00) and Saturdays (9:30-3:00). We could use some museum volunteers that could sub for the regular volunteers. March 22-30,2013 9:30-5:00 (Spring Break) We have found this to be a very busy week and will need many volunteers. Please contact us to help. All of April and May: Fridays 9:30-1:00 and Saturdays 9:30-3:00 and for school field trips. Summer Season Grand Re-Opening: June 1, 2013 (through Labor Day) Hours: Monday through Saturday, 9:30 - 5:00. Fall hours to be announced at a later date.
