 July 2011 Volunteer Of The Month
The United Way of Lowndes County recognizes Liz Poeppelman as the July Volunteer of the Month for her servant spirit and determination to help those who are in need. Poeppelman began volunteering with the United Way during the April 27th tornadoes that stretched across North Mississippi and still continues to serve.

The United Way of Lowndes County recognizes Peggy Williams of West Point and Glenn Spitler of Columbus as its Volunteers of the Month for their dedicated volunteer service with Columbus’ CONTACT Helpline, a Christian-based suicide hotline and crisis intervention center.
