Legacy Hospice Is In Need of Direct Volunteers

Legacy Hospice is in need of "Direct" Volunteers. These volunteers spend one-on-one time with hospice patients and family members. This experience is unique and truly valuable to both the patient/family and the volunteer.

When volunteers visit a patient or family they may converse, watch movies, read aloud, paint fingernails, style hair, play games, do puzzles, make scrapbooks, sing, pray, and much more! The special relationship between a volunteer and the family they visit is once-in-a-lifetime.

Volunteers must submit an application, pass a background check, submit to a physical; and TB skin test. Volunteers must also review the Volunteer Training Manual with the Volunteer Coordinator prior to having contact with patients. Volunteers must be age 17+.
