Agency Details:

The Father's Child Ministry
Last updated on April 15, 2015

"To see children and families reach their full potential in Jesus Christ by receiving the love of the Heavenly Father."

"To end fatherlessness by turning the hearts of fathers to their children and turning the hearts of children back to the Heavenly Father by teaching the Gospel and utilizing community resources.

We believe that every child is a seed and with proper nurturing that child can develop into someone very productive for our society. Therefore, we provide the following services in order to accomplish the vision of FCM.

Youth Program
The foundation of our ministry is our youth program. This program is for both girls and boys ages 8-18. It is held every Saturday mornings, and during summer months throughout the week. The activities and services provided are devotions, recreational activities, life skills, and character education classes. Counseling services are also provided in order to help FCM children in their decision-making processes and any emotional issues that they may face. Counseling services are done through school visits and parent/child conferences.

Mother Support Group
This service of FCM is given to help provide needed support to the mothers of our children. FCM mother support group gives mothers the opportunity to meet and gain support and insight from each other in order to help them in their parenting skills. The group is facilitated by qualified volunteers who have passion for assisting our mothers.

Operation Manhood
This service is provided to encourage and equip fathers to be more responsible towards their children and teach young men about manhood and God's purpose for their lives. Some of the activities include rallies, accountability groups, workshops, and camps.

The Father’s Child Ministry began in June 2004 in the home of Edward and Barbara Yeates where they began to work with two boys in reaching their potential.

At the start of January 2005, FCM relocated to Armstrong Middle School in Starkville, and now is located at 104 Brickerton in Columbus Mississippi where it is presently helping 35 children and 25 mothers and over 70 fathers from the Golden Triangle community (West Point, Columbus, Starkville.) Our message to our children is they have a Heavenly Father that loves and has a purpose for their lives. This is the hope that FCM shares.

The Golden Triangle community is embracing FCM and helping to make it a faith-base organization that is supported by the community. The Father’s Child Ministry is a 501c (3) non-profit faith-based organization seeking to engage in the war on fatherlessness by influencing children and families to reach their full potential in Jesus Christ ,by teaching the Gospel and utilizing community resources.
