Step Up To The Plate

RSS XML FeedBackground Active Oct 15, 2009 to Oct 26, 2009

Step Up To The Plate is designed around a baseball theme in hopes of engaging a wide audience.  Volunteering is the game that everyone can play: young and old, women and men, business leaders and students.  Folks can play whatever position suits their own skills and circumstances.  Nonprofits need small-ball, detail players and powerful home-run hitters.  Poeple can match their available time with nonprofit needs: pitching in for an hour, an inning or a season.

The Volunteer Fair follows the annual Make A Difference Day on Saturday, October 24, a national event that celebrates neighbors helping neighbors.  It also shadows the Entertainment Industry Foundation's nationwide project to promote service and volunteering.

Come to the Volunteer Fair on October 25 at Carroll College, grab peanuts and crackerjacks, and visit the playing field of volunteer opportunities!
