This is a volunteer position (10 hrs/week) that works to develop, promote, and maintain volunteers within the organization. The individual would serve as the initial point of contact for volunteers and work with agency staff to develop the appropriate training for the volunteers. The individual would also handle scheduling of volunteers and organize/record volunteer hours for agency outcomes. There would be some other data entry. We have a list of current volunteers, current volunteer projects, and potential volunteer groups in place ready to be managed. We are just waiting for the right person to help us achieve our mission of helping people, changing lives, and engaging communities to end poverty.
We desire someone with excellent interpersonal communication skills who is organized and detail oriented. A positive attitude and competency in Microsoft Office are a must. The individual must be flexible with their scheduling due to various time schedules of volunteers and have the ability to handle multiple projects at once. Previous volunteer management experience is a plus, but not a requirement. This opportunity is sponsored by: Community Action Partnership Of Greater St. Joseph
