	Every year over 1 million students drop out of high school. Students with a mentor are 86% more likely to go to college and are less likely to get involved with drugs Two-thirds of American fourth-graders cannot read at grade-level and reading is linked to high school success. In a recent survey of local mentees: 75% reported working harder and looking forward to school more 88% said they can look to their mentor for guidance 95% of students said mentors encouraged them to work harder in school Every child needs a caring adult in their life. Help us cut the high school dropout rate in half. Be a mentor.

The Youth Futures Commission (YFC) is a group of public and private sector leaders working together to develop and implement a strategic plan to ensure that the Pittsburgh region is a place of opportunity for its young people.
