Mentoring & Tutoring Do you want to work with a young person? Encourage him or her to do better in school? Aspire to higher goals? Improve his or her life? Improve your own? A mentor develops a one-on-one relationship with a young person (and sometimes adults or families) to be a trusted friend, a good listener and a positive role model. This can take an academic focus or strictly social. Find out more about Mentoring. Tutors work with young people (and adults), focusing mainly on academics - for example, helping with homework or studying skills.
