Many service projects are available such as shoreline clean-up; invasive species removal, trail maintenance and rehabilitation; campground clean-up and preparation; tree planting; and timber stand improvementThe one main requirement is to pre-register by April 10, The Corps of Engineers at Coralville Lake also recommends participating volunteers wear appropriate outdoor clothing (rain gear, long sleeve shirt, long pants, sturdy shoes, gloves and a hat) to provide protection from ticks and poison ivy. Volunteers are also advised to bring plenty of drinking water and sunscreen.

The Coralville Lake office and Visitor Center are located approximately 4 miles north of Iowa City, Iowa. If you are driving on I-80 take exit 244, which is the Dubuque Street exit. Then go north about 3 miles to West Overlook Road and turn east (the only direction you can turn onto West Overlook Road). Proceed 1/4 mile to the park entrance. Follow the signs once in the park to the desired area. |
