Only several miles from my home, I have found a warm and friendly atmosphere in which I truely feel I am making a difference.

My expereince at Crossroads House has been a truely rewarding experience. I volunteer a few hours of my time each week and work in the kitchen of Crossroads preparing meals and snacks. During my time in the kitchen, I am always visited by friendly staff who enjoy sharing a little bit of their day with me. I am able to talk with those who benifit from what Crossroads has to offer and I enjoy my time... not just volunteer it. At the end of the day, I walk out the door feeling appreciated and, conversly, I am appreciative.

I have found Crossroads House to be one of the most interesting and greatest places to volunteer!

I have been volunteering at Crossroads House since May of 2001. I have had the opportunity to do various things from helping to cook, serve meals in the soup kitchen, work in the pantry, help the staff with intake interviews, fix computers :-), whatever is needed. I have found Crossroads House to be one of the most interesting and greatest places to volunteer! Everyone is so helpful, willing to contribute and work as a team. The volunteers, staff and residents are all fun to work with!

It is the best volunteer experience I've ever had!

As a food server, I am able to meet people of all ages and from all walks of life. I particularly enjoy watching the children enjoy a warm meal and a glass of milk. All of the residents are friendly to the volunteers and truly appreciate our efforts to help. The food service positions only require a commitment of 2 hours at a time. I gain tremendous satisfaction knowing that I can give back to the community even with a busy life!
