TASC's corps of volunteer drivers provides rides to adult residents of Exeter, Greenland, Hampton,Hampton Falls North Hampton,Rye,Stratham and Seabrook who are age 55 or better or who have a disability that prevents them from driving.

Description:
Volunteer drivers must be at least 25 years old and have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record and a legally registered and inspected vehicle. TASC volunteers will participate in orientation and agree to a background check before being given any assignments.

TASC is a "curb-to-curb" service, so passengers must be able to get to and from, and in and out of a vehicle with little or no assistance.

History:
Limited transportation service in the seacoast region creates a barrier to health care and other necessary services for many residents. TASC was formed to help overcome this barrier. Starting in December, 2006,with 6 volunteer drivers, TASC provided 44 rides in the first month. Since then TASC has grown to 50 volunteer drivers providing nearly 400 rides each month! And we just keep growing, both in the number of volunteer drivers and the number of rides requested. As successful as we have been, there are still ride requests that are turned down because a volunteer driver is not available.
