Riverside Rest Home, where quality of life matters most, offers a wide variety of activities specifically tailored for each resident. In addition Riverside offers the most diverse day-out programs in the Seacoast area, complete with readily available transportation. We promote self-care, work, and play activities to help residents enhance every aspect of their lives.

Description:
Riverside Rest Home, a county nursing home facility, has 215 beds that accommodate our residents who may be experiencing illnesses that require the need for 24-hour care. Our programs are based on the belief that having a sense of purpose prevents disability and keeps people healthy. We also have a specialized behavioral management unit and two Alzheimer care units. We welcome the involvement of the surrounding community which is essential to sustaining the volunteer program. Through our volunteer program, we help our residents move about freely in the community to maintain active involvement with friendly, interested and caring volunteers.

Volunteer Reflections    Post Your Own!

Riverside Rest Home 5 Overall Experience    Experience rating
Extremely cooperative staff, motivated willingness to learn new PC skills

I've gained the respect for seeing first hand the unique caring from staff and volunteers at Riverside Rest Home. I've been given the great opportunity to share my computer skills with staff, allowing the chance to improve efficiency and thereby providing the staff to be more available for resident and volunteer concerns
