The mission of the North/Eastside Senior Coalition is to enhance the quality of life for all senior adults by providing programs, advocacy, and resources that assist them to remain independent, active, and influential in the community.

Description:
The North/Eastside Senior Coalition is a network of individuals and groups interested in the concerns and issues of people age 55 years and older. Some of the services and programs we provide are: case management, information sessions, senior luncheons, recreational programing, group outings, intergenerational activities, a volunteer-based home chore program, a monthly newsletter, and a community concert series.

History:
The Coalition evolved thirty-two years ago from the efforts of individuals and groups that shared a common concern for senior adults controlling their surroundings. The goal was to promote successful aging as a process of independence and interdependence, and to empower senior adults to decide on priorities for themselves.
