The Triangle Community Ministry, Inc. is an ecumenical Ministry of Presence in solidarity with the residents of the Triangle Neighborhood, located in downtown Madison. The Ministry assists and supports residents to achieve physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Triangle Community Ministry (TCM) is staffed by a Chaplain, a Community Parish Nurse and an Outreach Development Manger. We serve the 335 adults living independently in low income subsidized apartments in the Triangle neighborhood of downtown Madison. Many individuals are challenged by special health care needs and require a variety of supports. TCM provides a holistic approach to wellness by addressing needs of body, mind and spirit. We are dedicated to the development of personal dignity, self empowerment and community building among the residents of the Triangle neighborhood and within the community at large. We collaborate with other community pastoral, health, social service providers and volunteers to best serve the residents. Volunteers play a vital role in increasing residents' independence and improving their quality of life. A variety of volunteer opportunities is available to fit your needs and interests. A grateful community is waiting for your offer.

The Triangle Community Ministry was established in 1978 by a grassroots ecumenical group in response to urban renewal of the Greenbush neighborhood, a triangular shaped area bounded by Park St., W. Washington, and Regent St. This urban renewal initiative replaced established residential neighborhoods that included three houses of worship and community merchants, with four public housing projects, 102 townhouses (Bayview Foundation), and a private nursing home. With the support provided by individuals, churches and the United Way, the Triangle Community Ministry has continued to serve the needs of this population for more than 35 years.
