Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on February 21, 2013 |
Casa Guadalupe depends on grants to sustain its after school programs for youth and adults. Our Academic Success program for Latino students is geared toward students in grades K-12 focusing on English and math. Our English language learners program for adults provides quality one-on-one instruction for adult students in the English language. Our women's group, Las Comadres, provides parenting education and early childhood literacy and development. Grant writer volunteers would assist with the research, planning, and writing process. This position would have a very flexible schedule. We ask that the volunteer schedule a meeting once a month with the Executive Director to identify potential funding opportunities and provide updates on the progress of current grant(s). Casa Guadalupe has several personal computers on-site for volunteers to use, although he or she may work from home as well.
We would prefer that volunteers have some previous experience in grant writing, but it is not necessary. Volunteers will schedule an initial meeting with Executive Director. This opportunity is sponsored by: Casa Guadalupe Multicultural Community
We need volunteers who are free at these times
