UCP-CM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We serve individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities and their families in Benton, Sherburne, and Stearns counties. UCP-CM is supported by contributions from individuals, corporations, special events, and the United Way. About 90% of the money stays locally to provide for local programs and services. UCP-CM's programs and services include Information and Referral, Public Education, and Financial Assistance for Specialized Equipment and Access to Assistive Technology through our A.T. Demo & Loan program and our Computers Go Round program.
History:
UCP-CM has been creating opportunities for persons with disabilities and their families in the Benton, Sherburne, and Stearns county area for over fifty -eight years. Founded by parents of children with CP who wanted an education for their children, UCP has continued to serve families, children and adults affected by CP through a variety of programs and services. Our advocacy efforts throughout the years have vastly improved services for people with disabilities in central Minnesota in areas such as housing, employment, accessibility, education, medical care, and transportation.
