Volunteer at one of three after school programs throughout the Baltimore area. In the Upton Community, 21217, work with African refugees aged 4-13. (M-Th 3:30-5:30 pm) In East Baltimore, at Patterson High School, work with a diverse group (Bhutanese, Iraqi, Ethiopian, West African) of refugees aged 13-20. (W/Th 3:45-5:45 pm) In East Baltimore, at Moravia Elementary/Middle, work with Bhutanese, Iraqi, Congolese and Eritreans (M-TH 4-6 pm)
Before working with the youth, you have to attend a mandatory orientation training, obtain a background check and fill out a volunteer application.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Refugee Youth Project
