The Greater Worcester Land Trust owns or holds interest in over 18 properties in and around Worcester and a number of those contain trail systems. The GWLT also works cooperatively with the local Conservation Commissions and Parks Departments on the care and upkeep of trails on publicly held lands. There are well over a dozen miles of trail needing assistance. We are seeking volunteers interested in hiking trails to evaluate them for condition, clearing trails to allow the public passage, and constructing trail amenities out of site materials to improve the trail experience. Training will be provided as needed. An interest in working in the woods, without a fear of getting dirty. Trail Rangers will be assigned to particular trail segments for general assessment, with periodic large Trail Ranger Work Parties to do more involved work identified by the Ranger Crew.
