The mission of Animalia is to engage and educate the public to further the appreciation, conservation and responsible care for all animals: native, exotic, and domestic.

Description:
Through its presentation of live animals during education outreach programs in schools, libraries, at community events, etc., Animalia helps tens of thousands of children each year to connect with nature. Animalia promotes responsible care of animals through companion animal training courses and animal behavior consultations. As a major proponent of environmental conservation of native and exotic wildlife, Animalia holds permits with the USFWS, Indiana DNR, is licensed by the USDA, and works closely with local and national organizations protecting species and habitats. Animalia shares its expertise as professional speakers at conferences, universities, and community organizations as well as writing articles for various animal magazines.

History:
Founded in 2005 as a consultation firm, Animalia's services included program development for zoos and animal organizations, event speaking, animal training and behavior consultations. In 2006, it established its animal collection and began conducting education outreach programs. IN 2007, Animalia incorporated and achieved non-profit status as a 501(c)(3) and became a 509(a)(2) public charity. In 2008, it became a permitted organization with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Indiana DNR Fisheries and Wildlife Service. It began conducting seminars for universities on animal careers and also launched a volunteer program. In 2009, it launched its college intern program. In 2010, Animalia received its USDA License as a Class C Exhibitor. In 2011, Animalia has conducted over 350 education outreach programs, reaching over 25,000 people.
