To promote, further and enhance all cat life. We are an organization that rescues and takes on homeless or personal pets no longer wanted. No healthy animal that enters our program will be put down. Please note, our organization can ONLY take on friendly, adoptable cats or kittens, meaning cats that can be picked up and touched and held. We cannot take on skittish or feral (wild, untamed, barn cats). We need to be able to move the cats we take into our program IN and OUT of our program through aggressive adoption avenues such as showing these cats at PETCO, Pets Supplies Plus, Petsmart, Clyde's Feed Store and many of our other adoption sites.

Description:
Our organization is trying to get the cat population in WNY under manageable control by constantly promoting responsible pet ownership that all domesticated animals need to be spayed and neutered. We encourage this through education, referrals and providing assistance to low cost spay/neuter services. We can provide referrals to those who can help such cats to obtain humane traps. These feral cat/barn cat volunteers can then show the public how to humanely trap cats that may be on their property and encourage them to "stop" the problem of adding more pets to their property by spaying/neutering and getting the situation under control. Those willing to help would be referred to Feral Cat Focus who tends to only feral/wild cats, to Operation Pet in Blasdell or to our low-cost spay/neuter program which is offered only to those who find strays/ferals and are willing to keep in their homes/take care of.
We have a very unique program called the "Senior Kitty" program where we match senior citizens with our senior cats. We have found that because of their life style seniors make wonderful homes for our older cats and thus our senior cats have found a life-long companion.

History:
Ten Lives Club started in January 2001 and provides many valuable services to our community - rescue, adoption services, humane trapping referral assistance, education, "Senior Kitty" program, referrals so people can keep their cat(s) in dire situations, and providing low cost spay/neuter services for those wishing to keep that stray cat they found or feral (wild) cat on their property as LONG as spayed and neutered. We offer these services at a big discount through our shelter spay/neuter clinic in Hamburg which has limited appointments. . To date, our organization has saved the lives of over 11,000 cats and kittens through our assistance, referrals, advice, low cost spay neutering services, foster home network, shelter life and through adoption. We helped in some shape or form to make sure each of these precious animals moved onto caring, committed homes. It is said that cat's have nine lives - our group makes sure we give them "ten lives" and their most loving and happy life.
