Organization - CASA

The Child Protection Network is dedicated to the advocacy of all children who reside in McLean, Livingston, and DeWitt counties. Through our Children’s Advocacy Centers and our Court Appointed Special Advocate program (CASA), we provide a collaborative effort to protect children.

Description:
The mission of our program is to educate the community regarding its responsibility to abused and neglected children and to provide well-trained volunteers to advocate for children through the state foster care system and the juvenile court system. Our case managers supervise our volunteers and provide assistance and guidance with their cases.

History:
McLean County
The CASA program began in 1996 and has trained over 500 advocates. In November 2012, we graduated our 40th CASA training class. In 2012, 85 volunteers devoted 9,746 hours of advocacy for 160 children residing in foster care.
