Volunteers are needed for escort assistance during various resident outings from Goodwin House at Bailey's Crossroads. Generally, volunteers would accompany residents on trips, provide gentle support to residents with mobility challenges, assist staff in negotiating residents through exhibits or aisles, and act as conversation companions during bus rides.
Volunteers must be sensitive to resident mobility challenges, and physically comfortable and able to provide a "supportive arm" on occasion. Outgoing, personable volunteers who are comfortable interacting with senior citizens are strongly preferred.
