Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Get trained to become a volunteer driver for the LIVESTRONG Transportation Program and help people in your community.

The program provides free transportation to cancer-related appointments in the Austin metropolitan area to those in need. Volunteer drivers are needed to ensure that cancer patients make it to both medical and non-medical cancer-related appointments. And when you volunteer is up to you – an easy online system makes choosing your volunteer assignments simple.

Don’t own a vehicle but would like to become a volunteer driver? car2go is offering the use of their vehicles for this program at no cost to volunteers. All you need is a valid driver license and a desire to make a difference.
If interested, first fill out our volunteer driver application at LIVESTRONG.org/givearide. You will receive additional information and must then RSVP to attend the training session.

If you live in Travis County, you can make a difference. If you have a valid driver license, current automobile insurance meeting Texas state liability minimums*, and access to a safe reliable vehicle*, please consider becoming a volunteer driver. All eligible applicants will be invited to a training session.

*Not required for volunteers intending to drive car2go vehicles.
