Volunteer Opportunity - Volunteer Bakers Needed!

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on July 27, 2013

We are currently looking for enthusiastic volunteers to work alongside our students in the kitchen. Volunteers help crank out the weekly pie orders, provide encouragement and support to our students, and have fun in a lively kitchen environment. Baking pies is a perfect way to meet new people and hear their stories. No baking experience required, just a positive attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and make pies!

We are looking for volunteers on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 7am-12pm. You do not need to stay for the entire duration of a shift. We bake in the kitchen at the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) at 500 E 7th St in downtown Austin.
If you can only do a partial shift, that's fine. We don't require any weekly or monthly commitments and you can come as your schedule allows.
Again, no baking experience required. We will get you oriented on your first day.
