1-to-1 tutoring with the same students each time
Tutoring sessions at 7 branches of the Public Library (Carver, Cepeda, Little Walnut Creek, Ruiz, Southeast Austin, Twin Oaks, and University Hills)
1 hour tutoring sessions between the hours of 3:00-8:00 p.m.
Tutors needed for grades 1-12
Bilingual tutors encouraged but not required

A minimum commitment of one school semester is asked of one-to-one tutors.
All tutors must attend an interview/orientation with the Program Specialist prior to beginning any tutor sessions.
All volunteers must complete and pass a background check prior to beginning any tutor sessions.
Volunteers are encouraged to apply at any time.

Adolescents (13-17)  Minorities
Children (5-12)  Students
Low-income / Poverty
We need volunteers who are free at these times
Evenings  Weekly
Weekdays
This volunteer opportunity is available to the following types of volunteers
Adults (26-54)  Large Group (11+)
Adults (55+)  Small Group (2-10)
Individual  Young Adults (18-25)
This volunteer opportunity addresses the following social interests
Children & Youth  Literacy
Education & Technology  Mentoring Services
We are looking for volunteers with the following skills
English Language Instruction  Teaching
Language Translation / Interpretation.  Tutoring
Math / Science  Writing / Editing
Reading
