Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on August 2, 2012 |
Needy families and individuals in our community go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, the elderly and the terminally ill are at the most at risk, and they are the largest clients we serve. We currently have a need in your area for volunteers at a local facility that serve hospice patients and I would appreciate the opportunity to educate your group, organization, congregation or senior leaders on what hospice is and the benefits of volunteering. Would you like to help us make a difference? We need people like you to donate time, energy, and experience in a variety of areas, including spiritual support, bereavement care, companionship or administration needs, and much more. All volunteers will be provided training. Anyone 16 years and older can volunteer. Volunteers wanting direct patient care may need to have CPR, and TB test done. Not all volunteers are required to have.
This opportunity is sponsored by: Southern Care Inc.
