TEAMability's mission is to ensure children with severe and multiple disabilities have the opportunity to benefit from therapeutic educational intervention to participate actively in life.

TEAMability envisions becoming the premier catalyst for the advancement of the service delivery standard for ALL children with severe multiple disabilities.

Description:
TEAMability is a non-profit, 501(c)3 corporation focusing on children with a combination of profound motor, cognitive and sensory impairments. These kids belong to an underserved and virtually invisible segment within the larger pediatric disabled population. TEAMability believes they deserve an innovative approach to their complex educational and therapeutic programming needs.

Today the staff at the TEAMability Learning Center provides comprehensive services combining specialized evaluation, teaching, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and communication development. This is accomplished through weekly learning sessions, outreach to schools and agencies, Parent Forum meetings, professional and parent workshops.

History:
TEAMability was launched in 2003 by former teacher Barbara Goldman, physical therapist Nancy Swanson and occupational therapist Mari Gonzales-all of whom were former public school district employees. Our dream was to build a center where kids could realize their potential and live a higher quality of life. The TEAMability Learning Center opened in February 2008.
