Board Match Plus Program

The Volunteer Center's Board Match Plus program helps potential board candidates learn about nonprofit board service and apply for available board positions, and provides our community's nonprofits with the expertise and resources that allow them to recruit quality board members.

Board Match Plus is one of a handful of programs nationwide offering services in board member recruitment and matching. It has served as a model for other programs and has assumed an important role as an information and referral resource on strengthening and diversifying boards in the Bay Area. Currently, no other organization provides the types of services that Board Match Plus is able to provide in the Bay Area.

Online Board Matching

The Volunteer Center offers an online board matching service that facilitates the recruitment and application process for nonprofit boards and potential board members. Click on "Continue" at the bottom of this page to use this function.

Board Service Information Sessions

We also present quarterly Board Service Information Sessions, these nominally priced sessions are open to all interested parties, designed to educate the public about board roles and responsibilities in order to promote and facilitate healthy governance for our community's nonprofit organizations.
