Quan Yin Healing Arts
Last updated on January 27, 2012

Quan Yin Healing Arts Center is a traditional Chinese medicine clinic committed to providing high quality, affordable, Chinese medicine services to under-served people.

Description:
Quan Yin provides acupuncture, massage therapy, QiGong and other classes to people in the Bay Area regardless of ability to pay. These services are often only available to people with insurance or means and it has been Quan Yin's mission to fill the gap. Currently Quan Yin has drop-in acupuncture clinics twice a week, as well as clinic hours for individual appointments. Quan Yin has provided its healing arts on-site at clinics whose clients would otherwise not have access to these services.

History:
Quan Yin was founded over 25 years in San Francisco with the view that there is a place for traditional Asian medicine in Western society, and that it could be complementary to Western medicine. In 1984, Quan Yin became the first to offer full-service traditional Chinese medicine to treat HIV positive populations and, in 1989, offered the first comprehensive Chinese medicine approaches for those affected by the hepatitis C virus. Quan Yin has continued to be innovative in its approach to providing services to the under-served.
