There will be multiple deployments of Minnesota National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve units from our Southeast Minnesota Region in 2011. There are many preparatory events planned for families early next year and the Minnesota National Guard Family Programs, Child Care Resource and Referral and Operation Military Kids will be providing child care and child/youth activities during these events. For example, on January 8 and 9th, there will be a Family Prep Academy held in Rochester for several hundred National Guard service members and their families. Child care and child/youth activities will be provided during the day while National Guardsmen and their spouses go through various family preparation training and activities.
Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Southeast Minnesota is helping co-sponsor this special volunteer training on December 7th to assist these various agencies in child care help. |
