Volunteer Opportunity - Bolder Options Mentor

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Be BOLD! We are looking for some special people who care about this community's young people and want to make a difference in a young life. As a Bolder Options mentor you will introduce your mentee to physical fitness through running and other activities, to healthy lifestyle choices and strong academics, and to community service. You will not be doing it alone - our staff will guide you through a curriculum addressing all of these areas and you will have all the support and tools you need to be successful. At the end of your year together, you will attend a graduation ceremony in which all of your achievements will be celebrated! Mentoring is one of the most effective ways to give back, and we promise you will get more out of it than you will put in!

AGE OF VOLUNTEER: 21 years old and older. TIME COMMITMENT: 2-4 hour per week commitment for one year. DAY(S) OF THE WEEK: any day. TIME OF THE DAY: after school hours, evenings and weekends. OTHER REQUIREMENT(S): You must be able and willing to participate in running or biking with your mentee and to set and work toward goals related to fitness, community service, healthy habits and academics. You will have the support of a Program Coordinator assigned to your case.
