Position title: Be the VOICE! Be part of the Planning for Walk to End Alzheimer's
Description: Every 68 seconds, someone in America develops Alzheimer’s disease. More than 5.4 million Americans have Alzheimer’s disease, and this number will soar each year as the baby boomers age. Today, I’m asking you to be part of the solution.

Until there’s a cure, the Alzheimer’s Association Minnesota-North Dakota will exist to provide people with the disease, their families, and their caregivers with help and hope. The mission of the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota – North Dakota is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care, and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. The Association fulfills its mission by providing programs and services like support groups, a 24/7 Information Helpline and family education throughout our region.

Each year, the Alzheimer’s Association holds Walks throughout the two-state area to raise public awareness of the disease and funds to support programs and services for families facing it. Please join our Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee.

Committee members will work on the following projects:
Logistics/Booths/Quilt – work with the venue, set up day of events
Day of Coordinator – work with logistics and volunteers for the day
Food/Water – secure donations for food/water/coffee, etc.
Entertainment/Prizes/Giveaways – secure donations for door prizes
Walker Recruitment – encourage teams/individuals to attend event
Sponsorship/Signs of Support – lead the selling of signs of support and secure sponsorships

Previous attendance at any "fun"raising walk is a plus, but not required
