The mission of Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) is to "help homeless families achieve and sustain their independence." IHN is a network of 34 area churches who work together to give support, care, food, shelter, and time to families while they are in crisis. We give families "a place to call home," when they have none.

Description:
IHN provides support, food, shelter, and a caring environment for families with children under the age of 16 who find themselves homeless. Families stay in our host churches in the evening, and go to the Day Center during the day. We provide them with a permanent address and phone number while they are looking for housing and employment. We provide a safe place for the children during the day, preschool learning experience, and support to help them get back on their feet. Our network of 46 churches involve over 1600 volunteers.

History:
IHN of Greater Rochester opened its doors for guests January 2001. Since that time, we have served many families with children under age 16 in the SE MN - Olmsted County area. We have serve a diverse group of families: Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, and multi-racial. The average length of stay for guests currently is 40 days.
