This is a 20 hour per week stipend Commonwealth Corps position in our Boston location. We accomplish this through services that emphasize confidential, nonjudgmental and compassionate listening. Last year we answered more than 150,000 calls from individuals who are troubled, isolated, and possibly suicidal on our 24/7 and Samariteen Helplines; we provided 355 suicide prevention workshops to 15,349 participants; and Grief Support Services supported 1,096 people who had lost a loved one to suicide. Volunteers are our lifeblood; we average 500 each year.
