ESC of New England is a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable management consulting and capacity building services to enable nonprofits to operate more effectively to meet the needs of their constituencies. We accomplish our mission through a very talented group of more than 100 current and former senior-level executives and professionals who volunteer their services. Since our inception 29 years ago, ESC has assisted nearly 2,000 New England nonprofits with the creation and implementation of successful strategies for long-term sustainability and enhanced impact. We are looking for volunteers with senior-level management experience in the corporate, nonprofit, or public sector who are interested in sharing their skills, knowledge and expertise with our nonprofit clients. In addition to the required Core Courses (see below), ESC offers its volunteers ongoing professional development opportunities through our training programs. Optional courses include Strategic Management, Fundraising, Marketing/Branding, Facilitation and many others. We also hold monthly peer learning circles, and host guest speakers to provide our consultants with an opportunity to review case studies, network with one another and hear from experts about emerging trends within the nonprofit sector. More information about ESC can be found on our website, http://www.escne.org/Volunteer/Volunteer.aspx. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer consultant, please contact Kyle Dacuyan at volunteer@escne.org or (617) 357-5550.
We ask that our volunteer consultants: -Commit a minimum of 2 years of service to ESC -Complete all of ESC's Core Courses: Orientation (1 day), Consulting Skills (2 days), and Governance (1 day) within the first year of service -Commit an average of 4-7 hours per week when assigned to a project -Complete at least one project per year
