The Assistant is a volunteer, unpaid position. The person works with the Veterans' Agent to help deliver services and benefits to veterans and to provide them with information about various programs. The Assistant may fill in during office hours when the Veterans' Agent is unavailable.

The Assistant is not required to be a veteran, but interest in programs and services for veterans is preferred. Hours will depend on the needs of the Veterans' Agent, but regular office hours are once a week on Monday nights.
