Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters®, nationally sponsored by the ConAgra Foods® Foundation and WalMart Foundation, is celebrating 17 years of groundbreaking nutrition education. Cooking Matters works to connect families with food by teaching them how to prepare healthy, tasty meals on a limited budget.
Professional chefs, nutritionists, and community members volunteer their time and expertise to lead hands-on courses that instruct adults, teens and kids.

History:
Since 1993, Cooking Matters and its hundreds of volunteer instructors have led courses for more than 59,400 families across the country. Cooking Matters has led courses for Massachusetts families since 1994.
Locally, Cooking Matters partners with host agencies such as ABCD Head Start, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Boston, Greater Boston Food Bank, South Middlesex Opportunity Council, WIC, Chelsea Hunger Network and East Boston Neighborhood Health Center to lead courses in Boston, Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, Roslindale, Chelsea, Cambridge, Somerville, Plymouth, Quincy, Framingham, Worcester, Marlborough, Northborough and Lowell.
