SOAR 55 is a Corporation for National & Community Service RSVP program that mobilizes adults age 55 and over to contribute their skills and experience to help strengthen and expand the capacity of local nonprofit and public organizations in Newton and Metro West.

SOAR 55 is a volunteer-connector organization for people aged 55 and over who would like to share their professional and experience-based skills with local public and nonprofit organizations who need help in Newton and Metro West. We offer a unique, personalized, and thoughtful approach to matching each individual with a rewarding and satisfying volunteer opportunity. SOAR 55 has over 300 volunteers serving at 80 sites in assignments that range from tutoring children, assuming leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, to management consulting.

Our main office is located in Newton and our satellite office is located at the Framingham Public Library.

SOAR 55 (originally RSVP Metro West) has been a vital part of the metro west Boston community since 1973. In 2013 we celebrated our 40th anniversary. SOAR 55 has linked thousands of volunteers to interesting and rewarding volunteer assignments for over 3 decades.
