LEAP for Education helps low income and first generation students succeed in high school and college.

LEAP For Education is a non-profit that provides free programs to low-income and first- generation-to-college youth ages 11 -24. These programs provide academic support and enrichment, career and college readiness skills and career and college advising. LEAP does this through its two programs, the Academic Learning Center in Salem and College Success Program in Salem, Peabody and Gloucester.

LEAP for Education started in 2002 as Salem CyberSpace, a free, neighborhood Internet Café for the families living in the Salem Point. Over the last 12 years, its programs have expanded to include comprehensive academic programs that cover not only technology but all academic content areas, college access and college advising services. In 2013, we expanded our programs on the North Shore, opening College Success Programs in Peabody and Gloucester. We continue to be dedicated to helping the youth of our communities reach their potential in both their academic life and/or their career.
