The facility is licensed by the Pennsylvania Departments of Health and Public Welfare. There are 446 licensed beds all of which are certified for both Medicare and Medicaid. There is a special unit designated for residents with dementia. Conestoga View's commitment is to provide quality healthcare in a warm and friendly environment to residents needing nursing care. Our skilled and compassionate staff members recognize the many changes related to declining health or unexpected medical problems. We strive to provide comfort for residents and their loved ones during this time. Each of our seven nursing units is staffed by Licensed Nurses, Nursing Assistants. Social Worker, Environmental Services staff, and Activity Worker. A licensed physician oversees all medical care. Our team approach in care giving helps us to identify individual needs of each person living with us.

History:
The origins of Conestoga View are found in an Act of the Pennsylvania State Legislature of February 27, 1797, at which time approval was granted to erect an alms house in Lancaster County for the care of indigent people. The first building was constructed in 1800 on a tract of land that was donated by Mathias Slaugh and his wife.
